World Murals: “Black Lives Matter” Drawing Class
In this 50-minute class, celebrate our world through mural art. We will draw a mural image that is inspired by the three women started the BLM movement, and we will discuss them and anti-racist, ally and more in class.

This class offers an opportunity to celebrate, appreciate and understand the contributions of women in society. In each class, students will learn about a wonderful woman as well as draw an image that could be used for a public mural. Students will strengthen their appreciation and understanding of contributions made by female leaders around the world. By drawing mural image, students will enhance their creativity and artistic skills.
For more than 15 years, I have traveled the world and learned about the beauty of our world. I have visited more than 30 countries and lived in five different countries. In addition, I have a BA in Sociology from UCLA in Los Angeles. I also have a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from USC in Los Angeles. With a combination of real life experiences and cultural studies in college, I am eager to share the beauty of our diverse community through drawing of Wonderful Women of the World.
1.) Color and post the drawing to the classroom 2.) Complete the "Wonderful Woman & Me" worksheet to reflect on the key words
** color pencils, paper, pencil, eraser
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If requested, student can receive an informal assessment of the final drawing and completed homework.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
1.)We will briefly discuss the killing of a Black teenager, Trayvon Martin. This was the cause of the creation of Black Lives Matter Movement. 2.) Other themes to be discussed briefly: dignity, racism, anti-racism, injustices and ally.
