Despite his significant contributions to the Civil Rights Movement, Medgar Evers remains largely overlooked in history. In this engaging online class, students will learn about the remarkable life of Medgar Evers. Students will gain a deeper understanding of his background, activism, and the profound impact he made in the fight for equal rights and justice. Through engaging discussions, we will explore Evers' fearless endeavors in challenging racial discrimination and promoting equality, while shedding light on the hardships African Americans endured in Mississippi. Come learn with us about the pivotal role Medgar Evers played in the Civil Rights Movement and how his legacy continues to inspire people today. His courage in fighting against injustice serves as a reminder to stand up for what is right. Classes may occasionally run slightly longer than 30 minutes to ensure each student has a chance to speak if they wish. Please note that classes may extend slightly beyond the designated 30 minutes, as I believe in allowing every student the opportunity to speak if they so choose.
