Lessons will vary greatly depending in the needs and goals of the student. For a beginning student, much of the lessons will be spent on developing a strong technical foundation. For intermediate and more advanced students, we will expand on existing technical foundation and also delve deeper into the nuances of sound production, listening critically to oneself, and developing one's musical identity. Students will learn repertoire appropriate for their level, and any popular songs that the students want to play, if they so desire. My expectations are tailored to the needs and goals of each individual student, but regardless of the student's age, playing level, or experience, I will push all of my students to be the best violinist they can be.

My former students have gone on to major in music at the university level, and occupy principal chairs in their high school orchestras and local and regional youth orchestras. As for myself, I hold a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory and am currently a graduate student at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. I have attended Bowdoin International Music Festival, and have won prizes at competitions at the local, state, and national level as both a chamber musician and a soloist.Reviews
