Class Experience

Would you rather draw a picture or play a game? In this class, you can do both.  You will learn a little about drawing techniques while we socialize. Prepare your reactions and questions in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. 
During this multi-day drawing class, the learner will have the opportunity to practice basic skills in drawing using a pencil while creating a Thanksgiving-themed drawing. If they would like to add color to their pictures, they are welcome to do so. Creativity is encouraged.
The class will use the following structure:
Greetings/Introductions
Introduction and demonstration of drawing based on the suggestions of the members of the class.
Drawing and socialization time
Virtual Art Gallery
Day 1: Thanksgiving pumpkin.  The learners will determine some of the details of the drawings. I will demonstrate the techniques based on what details they choose to add to their drawings. The drawing will be Thanksgiving-inspired but will not include Pilgrims or Native Americans.
Day 2: Thanksgiving Turkey drawing. The learners will determine the details of the drawings. I will demonstrate the techniques based on what details they choose to add to their drawings. The drawing will be Thanksgiving-inspired but will not include Pilgrims or Native Americans.
Day 3: Thanksgiving Tablescape Still life drawing. The learners will determine the details of the drawings. I will demonstrate the techniques based on what details they choose to add to their drawings. The drawing will be Thanksgiving-inspired but will not include Pilgrims or Native Americans.
Day 4: Thanksgiving Gnome. The learners will determine the details of the drawings. I will demonstrate the techniques based on what details they choose to add to their drawings. The drawing will be Thanksgiving-inspired but will not include Pilgrims or Native Americans.
During each meeting, the learners will determine what they will include in their drawings. I will demonstrate drawing and drawing techniques to help the artists with their masterpieces. The elements of art include line, shape, value, dimension, texture, space, color, and form.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
The learners will be determining some of the topics of conversation as well as some of the elements of their art. We may play Would You Rather? to help promote socialization. The drawing will be Thanksgiving-inspired but will not include Pilgrims or Native Americans.
