In this one-time class learner will be taught about the colonists that came over on the Mayflower. We will cover the following topics: Why did the colonists decide to leave their homes and come to The United States? What was it like traveling on the Mayflower? What did the Mayflower look like? How long did the journey take? What did they eat? Who were some of the people on the Mayflower? This class will include discussion and powerpoint. I will introduce the powerpoint and show the learners portraits of the Mayflower and discuss some of the original colonists, and the other subjects mentioned above. I will give ample opportunity for discussion and questions and answers. My style is positive and upbeat. learners will interact often through questions and answers and discussion, No prior experience is needed, but students should be able to listen to the lesson.
