Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Week 1: We will work on the letters i, l, h, r, t, I, L, R, and H Week 2: We will work on the letters k, b, d, p, q, K, B, D, P, and review the previously learned letters as time allows Week 3: We will work on the letters c, a, o, g, j, C, A, O, J and review the previously learned letters as time allows Week 4: We will work on the letters n, m, u, v, w, N, M, V and review the previously learned letters as time allows Week 5: We will work on the letters e, f, s, x, y, E, S, X, Y and review the previously learned letters as time allows Week 6: We will work on the letters T, Q, G, Z, F, U, W and review the previously learned letters as time allows Week 7: We will use the letters to form words. Week 8: We will use the letters to form sentences as a group. Students will practice writing pangrams, which are sentences that use all of the letters of the alphabet.
I have been an educator for over 31 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas including Art and STEAM for grades K-5.
Each student will be expected to practice the letters we are working on between classes. This will help develop the fine motor skills needed for writing as well as help them improve their handwriting skills.

The students will be assessed informally based upon the formation of the letters we are working on for the week.
25 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be encouraged to talk with each other and come up with some of the topics of conversations.
There are no outside sources being used for this class.
