Students will be using higher-order thinking skills in order to respond to challenges and open-ended questions related to the story Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library. They will also be improving skills related to responding to literature during this class.
I have been a teacher in brick-and-mortar schools for 30 years. During this time, I taught reading and hosted book clubs as both a teacher and a Library Media Specialist. The book does contain the theme of bullying. I am qualified to teach this theme as I am certified as a teacher of children with Emotional and Behavior Disorders. I spent the majority of my 30-year career teaching in this field.
Homework Offered
Homework will consist of reading sections, approximately 10 pages per day, of the book. Children may use Audible or read with an adult for the completion of the reading passages.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

The learner's progress will be assessed informally based on participation in the book club activities and discussions.Grades Offered
