Intermediate Level
This quarter of the full algebra course covers topics like inequalities. This includes both solving and graphing, word problems, compound inequalities, absolute value inequalities (and equations), linear inequalities, and systems of equations and inequalities. It is highly recommended that students take notes in their binders to help with homework questions that are spiraled into the curriculum. I will make myself available for this course for 12 weeks for those students who are looking for a letter grade and certificate of completion. I check the classroom notifications and will respond within 1-2 days. If students need one on one help through video, it may be beneficial to sign up for one of my one on one tutoring classes. These are 45 minute one on one sessions.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to solve, write, and graph inequalities (simple through multi-step)

I have been teaching algebra for over 20 years! I love teaching and helping students be more successful. I understand things like math anxiety and struggling learners, so I take a "small skills" approach to teaching. This means that instead of long in-depth lessons, it is very focused on small skill mastery before moving on. I also spiralize my curriculum so that students get mixed review practice to maintain those skills that they have already mastered throughout my course.
I love crafting and spending time with my family! In the summer, we are either camping or at a ballfield somewhere.
