Beginner - Advanced Level
In this Algebra 1 Honors class, students will explore a variety of engaging topics, including linear equations, quadratic functions, systems of equations, and real-world applications of algebraic concepts. The course is structured to provide a balanced mix of direct instruction, collaborative group work, and independent practice. I employ a dynamic teaching style that incorporates interactive elements, such as lectures, problem-solving games, and multimedia resources like slides and video clips. I bring a wealth of experience and training to my Algebra 1 Honors class. With a degree in Education, Business Administration, & Legal Studies, I have a solid foundation in both algebraic concepts and effective teaching strategies. I have taught Algebra in various educational settings, including middle and high schools, for over 7 years. During this time, I have successfully guided numerous students through the Algebra curriculum, helping them build confidence and mastery in the subject.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have worked with children in diverse learning environments, including tutoring centers and after-school programs, for over 10 years. This experience has allowed me to develop a keen understanding of different learning styles and the importance of fostering a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Furthermore, I continually seek professional development opportunities to enhance my teaching practices, including workshops focused on innovative teaching methods and technology integration in the classroom. I am dedicated to creating a positive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed in their mathematical journey.
