2-4 hours per week. Each week, students will take notes on the lessons for the week by way of video. There are assignment questions for each week's lessons. There are weekly quizzes and a test at the end to show proficiency. If students are looking for a summer school credit, they must do the homework and be proficient on the final test. Students can take the final test more than once.Assessment
A certificate will be offered for those students who show proficiency in the material through their homework assignments , weekly quizzes, and final assessment. Students can have multiple attempts at the final assessment. I am available during the timeframe to answer questions through the online classroom. I will respond to questions within 1-2 days. At the conclusion of the 4 weeks, I will make myself available for one more week to help students who have fallen behind or need to take the final assessment.Grading
A certificate of completion is offered for those students needing a summer school credit. Students either have to pass the final assessment (given no more than 3 opportunities) or can use a combination of homework grades plus weekly quizzes in combination with the final assessment to pass. I am available during the timeframe to answer questions through the online classroom. I will respond to questions within 1-2 days. At the conclusion of the 4 weeks, I will make myself available for one more week to help students who have fallen behind or need to complete the final assessment.Class Experience
Intermediate Level
Students learn 20 topics from categories such as relations and functions, linear functions, systems of equations, exponent rules, polynomials, and more… Students learn the material by means of videos and complete the work on the weekly topics. . At the end of each week, there is testing to practice the concepts learned. At the end of the course is a cumulative assessment. If students do not pass the cumulative assessment, they can opt to do an alternative assessment to show proficiency. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion. For students needing a grade, there will be 2 certificates given. One with a grade, and one without. I am available during the timeframe to answer questions through the online classroom. I will respond to questions within 1-2 days. At the conclusion of the 4 weeks, I will make myself available for one more week to help students who have fallen behind or need to finish the cumulative project.
