  • Students will be able to solve systems of equations word problems involving graphing, substitution, and elimination
  • Students will be able to write and graph systems of inequalities as well as identify solutions
  • Students will be able to interpret data displays as well as find measures of central tendency and the five number summary from a given data set
  • students will be able to compute both simple and compound probabilities (with and without replacement)

Details: Homework per week includes: watching 3 lesson videos (and taking the quiz at the end...students may use their notes) completing 30 question assignment work must be shown.
Assessment
Frequency: included
Details: at the end of this course, students will receive their certificate of completion if they receive at least a 60% average on the covered material. This includes quizzes, assignments, and the end of quarter test. The certificate will have their overall percentage for this quarter of the course. The assessment at the end of this portion of the course includes the final exam for the course.
Grading
Frequency: included
Details: Grading will be offered as a way to measure proficiency in the course. Before moving to quarter 2, students should have a proficiency int he quarter 1 content. Students can retake tests in order to achieve this. 90-100% A 80-89% B 70-79%C 60-69%D Students need to have at least a 60% in order to move to the quarter 4 material.
Students should have taken the self-paced courses "Spiraling With Algebra 1" Quarters 1,2,&3
Students will need to download the binder for the 9 weeks of content. There will be a link to the binder, a fraction calculator, a graphing calculator, and a formula sheet.
