In this group workshop, I'm going to teach your aspiring singers the most fundamental skills that they need to build a healthy, skillful, artistic singing voice. We'll be exploring and practicing proper body alignment, 'supporting' their singing tones with their breath, producing healthy, effective vocal resonance, and more! During the workshop, there will plenty of time for practicing skills and asking/answering questions. As this is a group lesson, students should be prepared to sing the exercises and experiment with some vocal sounds in front of the group. I'll want to be able to listen to each student practice (one at a time) in order to ensure that they are correctly applying the techniques that I'm teaching them.
Learning Goals
Students will get to know their body instruments and how they work (the basic anatomy and physiology of singing) and begin to develop some fundamental singing skills.Other Details
Supply List
Half a glass of water, a drinking straw, and another glass of water for staying hydrated.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
