Class Experience

In this class, we will practice singing to approximately 16-32 bars of a popular song (usually, the chorus). Each week will focus on a new song. Before class, students will be provided with the song so that they can listen and practice. Students will learn proper vocal techniques, warm-ups, and breathing.  At the end of class, all students will come together and have a chance to sing by themselves and/or as a full or small group. 

This class is hands-on, and students will actively participate. I believe that all students can be successful, and my teaching style reflects that. I like to bring fun and humor to all my classes. 

There is no prerequisite, but it is recommended that you have a strong desire to learn and try the best you can. 

As an ongoing class, you can jump in for any week, or continue to learn and practice new songs each week. This is a great class to discover new songs! Songs will include Disney, Pop songs, and musical theatre songs.

Welcome to Virtual Performing Arts Academy. Our organization includes scholars, professional performers, and licensed teachers. We offer a variety of courses for all levels from beginners to pre-professionals. We are so excited to meet you.

Our teachers have attended top improvisation programs including The Second City Conservatory, Annoyance, Magnet, and more. Our dance teachers have trained with renowned schools in NYC. All of our teachers are professional performers with a minimum of a BA degree.
