My Name is Mrs. Bannert. I am a certified teacher. I have a Masters in Education. For the past five years I have taught in a public school setting and for the past three years I have taught in an online format. I am a certified science teacher and love to find ways to make science fun. In this course learners will learn fun facts about Halloween while completing hands on experiments.

Food coloring
Vinegar (enough for all containers)
Dish soap
Spoon
Large tray (Cookie Sheet)

Exploding/Vomiting Pumpkins:
1 cup- 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
3 tbsp. Water

Small/Medium Pumpkin (Prior to Class Pumpkin needs to be de-seeded) If a small pumpkin can not be obtained then a orange cup will do just fine. Students carve a pumpkin face prior to the start of class if they choose. Be sure not to carve too close to the bottom. Leave a couple of inches for the reaction to start.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some of these experiments can get messy. A cookie sheet is requested to keep the mess contained and off of the area students are working on. Students will also be using scissors or a knife adult supervision may be required.
