Description
Class Experience
Are you ready to have fun with colorful science experiments? We will use a variety of common household products and objects to do a different science experiment each week, focusing on the colors and how they change and interact! There will be a teacher demonstration of each procedure during class, using screen share and a second camera so learners can see exactly what to do. Then we will discuss the scientific principles at work, with ample time for learner questions, observations, analysis,...
Learners will explore the basic scientific properties of various liquids, solids, and gases along with colors and color mixing techniques.
Some experiments may require time outside of class to fully complete, but no outside work is required.
A detailed supply list will be posted in the classroom one week before class. Materials include, but are not limited to, the following: ▪️Alka Seltzer tablets ▪️Vegetable oil ▪️Liquid food coloring ▪️Skittles candy ▪️Milk ▪️Dish soap (blue or green) ▪️White carnations ▪️Baking soda ▪️Vinegar ▪️Honey ▪️Light corn syrup ▪️Olive oil ▪️Rubbing alcohol ▪️White rice ▪️Pipettes or droppers ▪️Ice cube trays ▪️Cotton swabs ▪️Paper towels ▪️Tray ▪️Small plastic cups or glasses ▪️Tall clear container ▪️Spoons
