Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Are you ready to have fun with colorful science experiments? We will use a variety of common household products and objects to do a different science experiment each week, focusing on the colors and how they change and interact! There will be a teacher demonstration of each procedure during class, using screen share and a second camera so learners can see exactly what to do. Then we will discuss the scientific principles at work, with ample time for learner questions, observations, analysis, and sharing!

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a variety of classes to offer including kindergarten and first grade reading/ phonics skills, story read alouds and discussions, and how to care for guinea pigs!

I have taught almost all ages of children for many years, from infant through sixth grade, as well as been an early intervention (birth to three) parent educator and online ESL teacher. I homeschooled my twin boys for the year before they entered kindergarten and it was a most wonderful time in my life that I would love to share with other families and children!

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for twenty years. We have a musically and artistically talented seventeen year old daughter and smart and funny identical twin twelve year old boys.

I am so very happy to be a part of the Outschool world and look forward to seeing your awesome learners in my classroom!
