Reading Comprehension
My lesson is about reading stories on an appropriate 2nd grade level with focus on recalling information from the story. Students will do this by listening to the instructor read a story out loud. The instructor will ask guided and comprehension questions as the story is read and call upon students to answer. Students will follow along and then complete a Google slide deck for the characters and match the character to a detail from the story.

Lesson 4:
Making Inferences
My lesson is about making inferences using active reading strategies. Students will do this by understanding what an inference is by taking clues from the text and learning how to connect them to their own background knowledge. The teacher will do this by asking questions to guide their thinking through different short familiar fairy tales and stories.
Evaluation: Students will read a grade level text on their own without any prompting. They will be evaluated based on words read accurately.
