US Grade 1 - 2
This reading skills class is geared towards students who struggle to read at the 2nd grad level and are currently in the 2nd grade. We will be covering 2nd grade reading skills with videos and interactive Google Slides activities. Learners will cover Comprehension, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Phonics. Learners will also be given a list of books that should be read weekly. Parents are encouraged to do this with their learners and read daily. What you get in this self paced class: Easy to follow videos Research based interactive activities 20 grade level stories Printable materials for practice at your child’s pace. Feedback is at your request and an assessment is given at the completion of the end of Lesson 5

VOCABULARY
This week focuses on 2nd grade level vocabulary words with recognizing high frequency sight words, the relationships between words, and figurative language
Lesson 2:
PHONICS
This week's lessons are about phonics where we practice reading words that have multiple syllables, advanced word chains, irregular verbs and plurals, and spelling rules
Lesson 3:
COMPREHENSION
This lesson is all about putting our word knowledge to work by reading! Here you will get links to grade level books to practice for the week. Parents will also get guided questions to check for understanding.
Lesson 4:
FLUENCY
This week's lessons are about recognizing, spelling, and writing high frequency words as a practice so that we can read more efficiently!
