Class Experience

I teach 1-on-1 private violin lessons that are based on the student’s goals with the violin. 

After many years of teaching, I am convinced that the traditional method gives the best results for the students. That means that I place a lot of emphases on teaching my students how to read music and play by notes. The lessons are customized to each student individually. For beginners, I use a combination of different teaching methods designed for beginner violinists such as All for Strings, Essential Elements…. For students with previous violin experience, I mainly teach the Galamian method.

Together, we can make a plan that will best suit the student. :)

I have been teaching the violin for the past decade, both in-person and online. I specialize in teaching children ages 9-15, especially those who have had some previous music experience, but never really got far on their instrument. I was that kind of a child until as a teenager, I was blessed with a new teacher who was so passionate about music that it passed on to me and I started practicing. With music, my passion is to help young people become proficient violin players and to inspire them to make life more enjoyable with music.
