Class experience
US Grade 2 - 3
Learners will review their multiplication facts or times tables for 6s through 12s over the course of a one week period. Learners will review what multiplication is, what it means, and the rules of basic multiplication. Learners will learn different strategies and "tricks" to solve multiplication problems. I will use slides, lectures, games, and video clips in my lessons to review with and engage learners. They will also learn a song for each of the tables to help them remember the facts....
Learners will review and have a better understanding of their multiplication facts from 6s through 12s. Learners will apply different strategies or methods to help them remember or solve basic multiplication problems.
I have been a third grade teacher for going on 12 years and have taught a variety of multiplication strategies and methods over the years.
Homework Offered
Assignments will be given each day for practice and will be expected to be completed by the next day’s class. We will go over the assignments together in class. Assignments will be posted on the classroom site after class each day. There will only be four assignments.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners are not officially assessed as this class is simply a review of basic multiplication.Grades Offered
Learners should bring some form of manipulative with them to class each day. These can be anything from Cheerios, Legos, marbles, Cheez-Its, pennies, etc. to practice a hands-on approach.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
