Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 4
Beginner Level
🏵 Learners who currently receive special education services or struggle with Math will learn quick and easy strategies that will stick when solving multiplication problems.

🏵 What to Expect🏵

⇨First class: small assessment to determine what the learner already knows about multiplying.

⇨After the first class, learners will be introduced to the dot strategy for multiplication and classes following will expand depending on the learner’s skill level. These areas may include; how to use the dot strategy, multiplying one digit by one digit, multiplying two digit by two digit, identifying words that mean to multiply, solving one step multiplication word problems.

🌼Class Structure🌼

⇨This private one on one class will include engaging activities that pertain to your learner’s skill level and change from class to class to keep your learner engaged and generalize his/her skills as they are mastered.

⇨I typically like to explain a concept, model it, and have learners practice with positive feedback while using engaging slides along with using a white board.

⇨I will use multiple online sources to create engaging activities such as sorting activities, games, and hands on practice. This class will typically begin by informal conversation (i.e.; asking about their day, favorite part of their day, etc.) and will list the topics/activities we will be covering in class and review.

🌸Prior Knowledge🌸

⇨Learners do not need required experience, but it would be helpful if he/she has some knowledge of how to access remote control options on Zoom.
