In these ongoing weekly classes students will learn the basic concepts of multiplication. These lessons are all Minecraft themed! STUDENTS WILL NOT PLAY THE GAME MINECRAFT IN THIS CLASS. Students will participate in a variety of activities each week to review the basic concepts of multiplication. - In this class students will learn: Match multiplication equations to pictures Repeated Addition Multiplication as group/array Identity Property/Commutative Property Missing numbers Equations with same answers Doubling/Tripling Words form equations

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Students are encouraged to complete the Kahoot multiplication review activity outside of class using the Kahoot link I provide to enrolled students after each lesson. These links give enrolled students access to after-class multiplication practices that are related to the material learned in class that week.Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: There is no formal assessment in this class. Students' knowledge of their multiplication skills can be gauged through playing the Kahoot game in class and after class. (If parents/students have a free Kahoot account a detailed report will be sent to parents/students after each class. This includes (correct answers/ incorrect answers/ unanswered questions). The report will also grade your child's work.

Second device to play Kahoot game on (tablet, iPad, phone) * A second device is not required but encouraged.

Students in this class will be using the website Kahoot. Kahoot will be used for students to be able to submit their answers to math questions in the lesson independently. Kahoot can be accessed using the link (https://kahoot.it/). No download is needed to use Kahoot in class and it is free. Kahoot is an approved third-party website/app by Outschool.
