The report will also grade your child's work.

Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Beginner Level
In these ongoing weekly classes students will learn the basic concepts of multiplication. These lessons are all Minecraft themed! STUDENTS WILL NOT PLAY THE GAME MINECRAFT IN THIS CLASS.

Students will participate in a variety of activities each week to review the basic concepts of multiplication. In these classes students will learn what the numbers in the multiplication equations mean. You can subscribe to these weekly lessons and keep your child enrolled until you feel they have "mastered the basics".

Students will ONLY review 1 digit multiplication in these classes. These classes are designed to help students understand what multiplication is, NOT memorize their facts. These classes are designed to be introductions, remedial, and extension lessons for students who are beginning to learn multiplication. Students do NOT need to have prior knowledge of multiplication for these classes. The ONLY prerequisite to this class is addition.

Students will begin class by participating in a short "study time" activity to review the multiplication concepts being taught in class that day. After study time, students will patriciate in a variety of fun activities. These activities will serve as a way to expand your child's knowledge of the different concepts of multiplication and reinforce these basic concepts. Students will then challenge their knowledge of the basic multiplication concepts reviewed in the lesson by answering questions independently in our weekly Kahoot activity in class.

Kahoot is a website that allows students to interact with the lesson by entering their answers in "REAL time". These activities on Kahoot will help to improve the student's understanding of what the numbers in the equations represent and how to answer basic multiplication equations using pictures. Kahoot activities in class will also help students to build connections to the equations, so they can begin the next step of memorizing their multiplication facts. Children can also build confidence watching their scores improve on Kahoot!

Enrolled students will be sent a "Multiplication Cheat Sheet" that will assist them in completing problems in class. Directions on how to use this "Multiplication Cheat Sheet" will be given to students each time this class meets. So, student's prior knowledge to multiplication can be minimal to NONE. Students can use this "Cheat Sheet" at their discretion.

Extension activities will also be provided for students each week to complete after class. These will ALWAYS BE OPTIONAL, but encouraged.
