In this ongoing class, learners will dive into the world of Star Wars, sharing and discussing their favorite characters, scenes, and episodes. They will learn about and analyze different characters and their actions in the saga. Students will explore character traits of heroes and villains. Students will also learn how to carry on social conversations and respectful discussions with their peers. I will teach using slideshows to guide the weekly discussions. Each week we will focus a different episode. Learners should watch the episode for the scheduled week and be ready to discuss it. Learners will be able to come and go as they choose each week based on their interests in the episodes. This is the weekly breakdown: Week of January 2nd: Episode I-The Phantom Menace Week of January 9th: Episode II- The Attack of the Clones Week of January 16th: The Clone Wars Week of January 23rd: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith Week of January 30th: Solo: A Star Wars Story Week of February 6th: Rebels Season 1 Week of February 13th: Rebels Seasons 2 and 3 Week of February 20th: Rebels Season 4 Week of February 27th: Rogue One Week of March 6th: Episode IV- A New Hope Week of March 13th: Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back Week of March 20th: Episode VI- Return of the Jedi Week of March 27th: The Mandalorian Week of April 3rd: Episode VII- The Force Awakens Week of April 10th: Episode VIII- The Last Jedi Week of April 17th: Episode IX- The Rise of Skywalker
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to have a respectful discussion with their peers while sharing their views and opinions about Star Wars.
Students will analyze characters, episodes, and scenes from the Star Wars universe.
Students will learn about and explore character traits of heroes and villains.
Students will learn more about each individual Star Wars movie/series and the characters and explore how each plays a part in the saga.

Parental Guidance
Violence and dark moments in the saga may be disturbing for younger students.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
