What's included

Homework
1 hour per week. Students will be provided weekly videos demonstrating the Mixed Martial Arts techniques. Continued practice throughout the week on the various Mixed Martial Arts skills is encouraged. Weekly challenges will be given to help students develop their mental and physical skills. Students are asked to record themselves practicing the weekly Mixed Martial Arts skills and submit for review and discussion.
Assessment
Students are encouraged to send me videos of themselves demonstrating the weekly Mixed Martial Arts skills. Weekly feedback will be provided for each student who submits a video of themselves practicing.

Class Experience

This high energy four week class is an introduction to the basic techniques of Mixed Martial Arts. Techniques from Boxing, Muay Thai, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu and Israeli Defense will be taught individually and combined into combinations.
I will post a video recording every Monday (by 2pm eastern time) demonstrating the Mixed Martial Arts curriculum for the week to be used by students to practice. Students will be asked to post videos on the Outschool classroom to challenge and help each other with the Martial Arts skills.
I will give feedback on the videos which will encourage the students to continue working on their Mixed Martial Arts skills.
Students will be able to create final video recordings demonstrating all the Martial Arts techniques they have learned, and also give constructive feedback to other students. The Outschool platform will be used for all interactions.
Each video recording will be loaded with specific exercises and challenges for the students.
Workouts will begin with a fun warmup to prepare the students for class. The main focus of class will be teaching skills like blocks, punches, kicks, elbows, knee strikes hands on self defense scenarios and ground defense. Classes will also include discussion on the philosophy of “Might for Right” and other important life skills like Focus, Discipline and Respect. Students are encouraged to push themselves to be their best. No prior experience is required.
We will cover different skills and self defense every session, and we will build on the skills from each session. 
Since this is a flex class, the level of each student can range from beginner to experienced. Each student will be starting at the level where they are at, and improving from there. 
I will also  be available for extra help through the classroom chat every and will provide answers within 24 hours. Students will be able to exchange ideas on Mixed Martial Arts moves and skills through the Outschool Classroom.

Might for Right! The most important goal for this class is for students to learn Mixed Martial Arts skills and work hard and have fun doing it!

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Parents should observe all classes to be aware of techniques being taught. I encourage parents to practice techniques with students outside of class. Please make sure proper workout attire (t-shirt and shorts) is worn. Socks are not recommended as they may cause the child to slip. Make sure that students have an area clear of obstructions so they can safely practice kicks, punches and ground techniques.
