Class Experience

Students will improve their understanding of Kihon (basics), Kata (forms) and Kumite (sparring).
I have been teaching Karate for 17 years, over this time I have taught thousands of students both at club level and in schools. I have a proven track record from the first steps the younger children take in class, to getting their black belt and in some cases becoming international champions.

On a personal level I received my 5th Dan in March 2020. I also have numerous titles and qualifications to my name including an NVQ in teaching Karate.

For me the best bit about teaching is seeing the progress made by each individual over the days and weeks. Seeing children take the smallest steps from having the courage to try a class, to something as big as a grading is always amazing to see.
There will be no set homework, however students may be encouraged to get some extra practice at home. This will be discussed in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This will be reviewed, depending on the progress of the course and students. We may look into grading's in the future.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The session should be done in loose fitting clothing e.g. t-shirt and bottoms.
The student should also train in bare feet.
The student should have an open space to move around in.
The screen should be clearly positioned, so the instructor can see the student and offer guidance.
