Class layout:
We will start with a mini Star Wars discussion, followed by a warm up, then we will train with our lightsabers. At the end of the course the students will be able to mix and match moves to show off what they learned.

What we will learn:
The Padawans will learn poses and simple spins, then we will practice some more difficult tricks. We will practice posing, start/end positions, learn lightsaber parts, holds, switching directions, changing hands, and rotating the saber blade, even learning a behind-the-back move. The hardest move we will learn is called the snake or the obi-ani. We will then mix and match these moves to make a seamless routine- everyone’s routine will look different since they will individualize it and make it up themselves. They will showcase this on the final day of class.

The smaller class size will allow me to interact and check the technique of each learner before they master a lightsaber move. They will be able to practice their moves between sessions.

Note: Lightsaber training takes a lot of practice, so if the Padawans don’t get it on the first day, keep trying!
