The students will learn a new, fun way to workout. They will learn how to safely handle a lightsaber, some poses and holds, and some fun spins and tricks. They will be able to practice these moves before showcasing to their fellow classmates their routine.
Each class the students will add on to what they previously learned. They will have time to practice between classes so they feel comfortable showing the class their routine on the final day.
Lightsaber Comfortable clothing or Star Wars costume/gear Plenty of space Water
The learner will not have a formal assessment. Each learner interprets and does these moves a little differently and that is OK! They will be asked to showcase their favorite moves on the final day of class.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Lightsabers can cause mass destruction to valuable object within range. Please make sure the learner has plenty of space to move around and swing a lightsaber. I will be showing a 15 second clip from Revenge of the Sith (on youtube). The movie is rated PG-13. The scene is a lightsaber battle. No one gets hurt.
