Parental Guidance
Please make sure children are supervised, and clear the area of any objects that could get in the way. Socks are NOT recommended.
Content that will be discussed in class may include:
Bad guys - anyone who makes you uncomfortable, including people you know and don't know. They can be boys or girls, be kind or mean.
Can you say no to an adult? - yes, if they ask you to do something that makes you uncomfortable.
Does the way someone looks make them a good or bad guy? - no, people of all colors, smiling, frowning, offering you things you like, can be a bad guy.
When should we use martial arts? Only to defend out bodies, we use our martial arts for good. We do not use our martial arts when we are mad. We practice self control to always deescalate a situation.
Now that I know martial arts, is it my job (the student) to fight an intruder? No, your job is always to get yourself to safety, let the adults handle the intruder.
