Description
Class Experience
I love cooking and I plan my meals each week. This class taught by Nita Stone will cover an essential life skill for moving out on your own. We will discuss why and how to plan a menu and make a grocery list. We will learn to read a recipe before starting to cook that recipe. We will cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We will discuss what types of foods we will prepare for each meal. The menus do not have to be assigned a day but the students will learn that they will have everything...
Students will learn to plan menus and know what they need from the grocery store to prepare those menus. They will make a grocery list over the 4 weeks. Students will turn in their menus and grocery lists in class.
Students will plan 7 menus each week for the meal covered in that week. They will turn in their menus and grocery lists.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
