Many people around the world enjoy gardening in one form or another. Many of us have house plants that we care for year round and for many years. People give plants as gifts. Some will grow vegetables and fruits to have for cooking. In this class taught by Nita Stone we will learn about the different types of gardening. There will be quizzes and optional assignments. There are two optional projects to choose from. Written reports can be turned in for the activities and projects. Extra credit will be given for activities and project reports. The main grades will be from the quizzes. I do encourage students to try the activities and projecets. They are fun and enhance the lessons. I am a Master Gardener in the state of Arkansas and learned gardening from my mom. We had gardens while I was growing up and I have had gardens my entire adult life.
