Learning Goals
Mastery of Spelling Rules: Students will learn and apply various spelling rules, including vowel patterns, consonant doubling, and silent letters, to improve their overall spelling accuracy.
Vocabulary Expansion: Students will expand their vocabulary by learning the spelling and meaning of words with common prefixes, suffixes, and roots, as well as words derived from other languages.

Welcome! I'm Erika Berry-Cherry, founder of Camp Pyramid Summer Enrichment Reading Program and Pyramid Academy Early Learning Program alongside my twin sister. I am also the founder of Cherry Learning Center Virtual Learning.
About Us:
Cherry Learning Center provides its own curriculum. Our curriculum caters to every individual student based on his/her needs. By focusing on literacy, mathematics, arts, culture, history, STEM, and horticulture, our curriculum is designed to cultivate well-rounded, socially responsible, critically thinking members in the community. Within our program scholars are able to focus on retaining and increasing their mathematical, literacy/reading, and writing skills. Younger scholars are able to receive a full preschool curriculum via web classes everyday.

🍒Mrs. Berry-Cherry:
I began my career as an educator more than ten years ago by volunteering at the local enrichment program in my community. I went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree and Masters Degree. Soon after college, I founded Camp Pyramid Summer Enrichment Reading Program and Pyramid Academy Learning Center for my church. I taught third-grade and fourth-grade in PGCPS. I have a strong passion for connecting with learners through education.

Hi, I'm Ms. Berry! I am an educator and I've been a teacher and college adjunct professor for almost seven years now. I have experience in varsity educational settings. I enjoy helping students and their families build a solid learning foundation that will foster their future. Hello there, I’m Deidre Ellis from Louisiana. I am a recent graduate from Grambling State University with my Bachelors of Science in Biology. Currently, I’m working towards my Masters of Public Health Administration. My favorite hobbies are coming up with different learning strategies, tending to my dog Bleu Benji, gym runs, and reading. I also love to try different foods and activities. Teaching became a passion of mine a few years ago. It started off as substituting but turned into a career changer. I enjoy developing bonds with students and helping them progress to the next grade level.

I've had the privilege to teach grades Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First, Second and Fourth. As an online ESL teacher, I've taught ages ranging from 3-15 years old. Hi! My name is Mr. Lewis and I am excited to teacher your fourth grader and middle schoolers. I am born and raised from Louisiana. I recieved a BA from Dillard University in New Orleans. As a teacher I love hands on learning such as weekly science experiments and PBL. My goal is to ensure that your learner loves learning in my classroom and that they are able to share with their family and friends what they have learned from myself and their peers.
Cherry Learning Center also provides activities to develop social and communication skills. Our curriculum is taught by experienced and well-trained teachers. We strive to make the best and most fun learning experience for every child.

Please allow 48-72 hours for me to reply to your messages. If I did not reply please assume that I did not receive a message from you.
MISSED CLASSES AND REFUND POLICIES
Refunds follow the ‘Limited’ model. Students may withdraw up to a week before class starts with a full refund. Within this time frame, students may transfer to a new section up to 48 hours before start time but are no longer entitled to a refund. In the event a student misses a class, recordings are privately made available in each classroom by request ONLY. Once the class has ended there will be no refund issued. This also APPLIES to private classes due to the busy schedule outside of classes. There will be no makeup class. You will receive a video as a makeup class.
TRANSFERS
Once a class has ended there will be no transfer allowed. Please ensure that your student attends the scheduled class. However, if you would like a transfer prior to the scheduled class, I will grant it.
CLASS CANCELED OR TECHNICAL ISSUES
In the rare event, that a class is canceled for technical issues, the class will be rescheduled at the earliest available date and time. When classes are not able to be rescheduled a refund will be issued. For one-time classes, parents may opt for a refund instead of joining the new time but will lose access to the recorded class. In the event a student arrives in class and has too many technical issues to participate, they will be transferred to the next available section.
ENROLLMENT
A minimum of 3 students is required to hold classes. If there are not enough learners within 2 to 24 hours of class, families are contacted with the option of transferring to a more populated section of the same class.
Emails/Messages:
We do respond to emails within the first 24 hours. In any case, if you do not receive a response, it may be because we did not receive your email (please feel free to send your message again). Friday 2 o'clock EST-Sunday we DO NOT respond to messages because we are off on the weekend.
