Spelling Bee

What will be taught?
Learners will improve their spelling skills, expand their vocabulary, and build confidence in a fun and interactive environment. They will practice spelling strategies, word patterns, and pronunciation while preparing for friendly spelling competitions.

What topics will you cover?
Topics will include spelling rules and patterns, common tricky words, syllable breakdowns, phonics strategies, word origins, and tips for remembering difficult spellings. We’ll also cover spelling bee techniques like staying calm under pressure and listening carefully to word pronunciation.

How is your class structured?
Each session will begin with a fun warm-up activity, followed by a short lesson on a spelling rule or strategy. Learners will then practice through games and challenges, leading up to a friendly spelling bee competition at the end of class.
