Class Experience

US Grade 3
In this class, students will learn 3rd-grade material. Students will learner the following  Math, Language Arts, and Reading. (Cherry Learning Center offers Social Studies classes). Students can interact with their peers and teacher twice a week in this fun and educational class. The teacher of this class will ensure that every learner obtains the lessons. Different teaching techniques will be used to reach all learners' learning styles. Each week students will receive printables based on the lessons. 

This is an ongoing class; therefore, parents are free to enroll their learners at any time without their learner feeling left behind. Please look at the dates description below to see which topic will be covered during class.
 If you feel your learner needs tutoring, we offer tutoring sessions with the class teacher and one-on-one classes.

Week of June 5th: 
Reading: Author's purpose
Spelling: silent vowels
Math:Lesson 1: Practice making ten and adding to ten. 

Week of June 11th:
Reading: Cause and Effect
Spelling: a sounds
Math: Lesson 2: Practice making the next ten and adding to a multiple of ten.

Week of June 18th: 
Reading: Compare and constrast 
Spelling: e sounds 
Math: Lesson 3: Add and subtract like units.

Week of June 25th: 
Reading: Elements of a story 
Spelling: -ear -eer sounds 
Math: Lesson 4: Make a ten to add within 20. 

Week of July 2nd: 
Reading: Explicit information and Drawing conclusion
Spelling: -ur -ir -er sounds 
Math: Lesson 5: Make a ten to add within 100. 

Week of July 9th: 
Reading: Figurative language
Spelling: -ow  -ou sounds
Math: Lesson 6: Subtract single-digit numbers from multiples of 10 within 100.

Week of July 16th:
Reading: Summarizing
Spelling: silent e sonds
Math: Lesson 7: Take from ten within 20. Lesson 8: Take from ten within 100.
