This class teaches "life lessons" and common sense wisdom as communicated and portrayed in the classic TV series "Leave It To Beaver" will be taught. No background knowledge or prior viewing of the TV series will be required or needed. The episode "Beaver Gets 'Spelled" - will be viewed (paused and broken down) and the key virtues of the story will be highlighted and taught. The topics of fear, bad-advice and honesty will be explained, discussed and applied. Group discussion, questions and answers, feedback, active listening and checking for understanding will be key practices and activities central to the classroom session. Aristotle wrote that good habits formed at youth make all the difference. Through these classes students will learn the essential traits of building good character.
