The lessons are sourced in virtues that are essential elements in development of one's character and social skills for establishing healthy and successful social interactions and relationships. We will start by a brief mindfulness practice to introduce the concept of all the gems (virtues) within us. We will then explore a different virtue each week: Mindfulness exercise for kids What is the virtue (i.e. responsibility)? Why is it important to practice it? How to practice it? Related Group Activities: cooperative games, story time/ online story time videos, brain break, drawing Discuss signs of success in practicing the virtue No prior knowledge is required
Learning Goals
This class will guide students through understanding, examples, and related activities how to practice virtues (responsibility) in daily life in interactions with their family, friends, classmates, and teachers.

Supply List
Blank sheets of paper, crayons or colored pencils for drawing. Print out the coloring sheets, color and design them. Bring for show and tell.

I hold a Master of Education degree and a Master of Science in Software Engineering degree. I have over 16 years of experience teaching elementary, middle school, and high school age students.
