What will be taught?
This course focuses on three essential life skills for teens:

Emotional Resilience: Students will learn to understand and regulate their emotions, cope with stress, and bounce back from challenges.
Effective Communication: Students will develop skills to express their thoughts and feelings clearly and confidently, while also practicing active listening and empathy.
Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Teens will explore structured approaches to making decisions and solving problems through critical thinking and scenario-based activities.
Topics Covered:

Understanding and managing emotions.
Coping mechanisms for stress and disappointment (e.g., mindfulness, breathing exercises).
Assertive and empathetic communication techniques.
Active listening and respectful conversation skills.
Real-life problem-solving strategies and decision-making models.
How is your class structured?
Each session will focus on one core life skill, beginning with a brief lecture and followed by interactive activities such as discussions, role-playing, and reflection exercises. We’ll use slides, video clips, and group activities to make learning engaging and practical.

How will you teach?
I will use a supportive, student-centered approach with a mix of lecture, discussions, interactive activities, and real-life application exercises. The class is structured to allow students to share experiences and build confidence in a safe, positive space.

Interaction Level: Students will interact through group discussions, paired activities, and individual reflection. I will provide ample opportunities for feedback and questions, with hands-on activities to apply new skills.

Learning Needs

This class involves general discussions of stress, emotions, and decision-making challenges that teens might face. No sensitive or explicit content will be covered. There is no use of external apps or third-party tools that require accounts.
