During this self-paced class, the learner will be taught how to sew a button on an article of clothing. They will also learn how to pin pants to prepare for hemming. Finally, they will learn how to hem pants. The hemming stitch or running stitch can be used to hem other articles of clothing. This same stitch can be used to hem any article of clothing.

I have been sewing for approximately 47 years.
This class provides clear, concise directions along with a step-by-step demonstration of each skill to help students who are neurodivergent be successful.
The learners should have the fine motor skills to thread a needle, or they should have someone that can help them with this step.

Sewing involves the use of sharp objects like pins, needles, and scissors. Supervision and support may be needed.
