Class Experience
Do you love to cook? Do you love to eat but don't know how to make dinner? Are you getting ready to go to college? Here are some cheap, easy meals to make. In Lets Cook! Series 1 we will spend 4 weeks making fun, delicious main dishes! Week 1: Lasagna Week 2: Tuna Casserole Week 3: Chicken Enchiladas Week 4: Barbecue Pork and Mashed Potatoes Our class will use the classroom and Flipgrid to discuss and instruct on how to make the goods. Have fun with your peers and meet new friends as you add some recipes to your book! Interaction: Student-to-student: Discussion questions, sharing our food Student-to-course work: Reading recipes, watching videos, making yummy food Student-to-teacher: Discussion questions Each week will include * A detailed instructional video * Printable Recipe * Discussion on variations * Discussion on side dishes * Discussion on how to make a balanced meal. Students will work together to build a balanced menu * Discussion board where students will post a picture or a short video of what they made and their thoughts on the recipe and dish. Students will then comment on each others posts and share ideas. * Discussion on safe and clean kitchen practices * Discussion on how to present their dishes in a creative way *This is a basic cooking class. This is meant for beginners or those wanting to find new recipes. We will not be discussing complicated techniques*

Parental Guidance
We will be cooking in this class. The use of several kitchen gadgets and the oven are needed. Please note that while I will be giving tips to avoid injury and burn there is always that risk involved with this cooking class.
Supply List
Actual recipes and amounts will be posted in the classroom. Basic kitchen tools needed: Baking dishes, measuring spoons and cups, hot pads, sauce or fry pans, can opener
