I'm an exercise science major and I am certified to teach cycling classes. While we won't be cycling in this course, this certification has given me experience teaching group fitness. In addition to my regular cycling classes, I've also filled in for HIIT and toning classes. I volunteer as a fitness mentor at a training institution for people with disabilities, where I encourage students to be active and guide them in exercises to ensure that they're doing them safely. I am not a professional or a doctor. It is recommended that all individuals consult with their physician before beginning any exercise program.
- adequate workout space - water bottle - tennis shoes - optional (but recommended) exercise mat
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Please be aware that there is always a risk of injury during physical activity. While a warm-up and cool-down will be included to prevent injury, accidents can happen. It is recommended that all individuals consult with their physician before beginning any exercise program.
