This is a self-paced class. Students will be provided a writing prompt each week to inspire the weekly writing entry. A short video mini-lesson will explain the writing expectation for the week and include teacher modeling. In addition, a second mini-lesson video each week will model a specific writing skill for students to practice each week. If a student chooses to share their writing with me, I will provide feedback within 48 hours.

Students will learn to observe carefully, gather interesting information, reflect on ideas, and be creative. As they create their writer's notebook, they will develop their writing voice, improve writing fluency, and perfect idea development.Syllabus

Supply List
Students will be encouraged to have a writer's notebook. This could be any type of notebook. Students will have the option of creating a digital notebook if they prefer, but the teacher modeling will be with a composition notebook.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
