Class Experience

Are you ready to get organized? Bullet Journaling is a fun and useful way to organize your life. Bullet Journals are customized calendars created by you! In addition to a calendar, your journal will have space for taking notes, brainstorming ideas, tracking habits, drawing and more! Whether you are new to Bullet Journaling or an old pro, I would love for you to join us for this class. We will share ideas, compare notes and determine which bullet journaling styles work best for us as individuals.

The first part of the class will be an overview of what Bullet Journaling is, why it is helpful and how it can help you organize your time. We will follow the ideas created by author Ryder Carroll, who made this method of journaling so popular. We will take a look at illustrations of various bullet journal templates, styles and outlines. We will discuss the pros and cons of each and even come up with our own ideas. Then, we will put our new knowledge to work as we create our own Bullet Journal!

Students will be able to ask questions and share ideas throughout the class. While no one will be required to speak or type in the chat, I love to hear your ideas and questions, so please share them!

By the end of the class, we will have an outline of our Bullet Journals and will have several pages completed. Students can complete their journals once the class is complete. After the class is over, you can still contact me with any questions you may have.

Other Details

Supply List
* Small notebook
* Your favorite pens and pencils
* Ruler

You will need a small notebook or journal for this project. It is important that the pages are either lined or dotted. You can use any notebook you like, but I recommend that you get something small, portable, with pages that lay flat for drawing and writing. My favorite bullet journal is available on amazon here: https://amzn.to/32cqEd8
While you don't need to buy this exact journal, check it out to get a good idea of what you should be looking for in a journal.

Bring your favorite pens or pencils to use in the class. You may want a ruler as well.

If you want, you can check out the Bullet Journal website in advance: https://bulletjournal.com/

I have taught in both the traditional classroom and online environment for over 13 years. I love working with all learners but have the most experience working with teens. I have been bullet journaling for several years now and I have been amazed at how much it has helped keep more organized. It has even increased my productivity! I'm thrilled to introduce this concept to students and help them implement it in their own lives.
