Coupon Alert: Get $10 off your first session of "Intro to Drama Camp!" with coupon code STAFFWOEVT10 until 7/31/25! Within this 3-day camp, students will learn introductory acting skills. They will take part in many activities that encourage students to develop their imaginations, physicality/movement, and the importance of cooperation. Students will begin each day of camp by taking part in The Actor’s Toolbox. This is an acting ritual that builds classroom community, but also provides students with the metaphorical “tools” that will be needed to become a successful performer. Afterwards, students will partake in several different drama games that focus on refining their acting skills and knowledge of theatre. Day 1: Vocal/Body Warm-Ups, The Actor’s Toolbox, The Theatre Game, Drama Freezes Day 2: Vocal/Body Warm-Ups, The Actor’s Toolbox, Crazy Classroom, Slow Motion Journey Day 3: Vocal/Body Warm-Ups, The Actor’s Toolbox, Toy Store, Mime Routine

I am a full-time K-8 drama instructor at a local school in Wichita, KS. Theatre has always been an important part of my life. Growing up – I was fortunate to live in a community that placed immense value on this art form. My participation in theatre allowed me to come out of my shell and has fostered many meaningful friendships.
The 2020 school year created a necessity for online learning. I was initially a little worried about the feasibility of teaching drama remotely. As the year progressed, I found that online drama can still be a significant and powerful experience.
