Beginner Level
Join Mrs. Anderson for acting class! This class will be an interactive theatre workshop that includes the following: 1) An ice breaker question allowing every student the opportunity to practice introducing themselves in a voice loud enough for everyone to hear. 2) A physical and vocal warm up that teaches students to speak with confidence and engage their imaginations. 3) Theatre games and scene work that reinforce the use of our acting tools (Body, voice, mind). Week of: November 11th: Creative Dramatics | Body, Voice, & Imagination November 18th:Pantomime | Acting without Words BREAK NO CLASS NOVEMBER 25th-29th December 2nd: Reader's Theatre December 9th: Creative Dramatics | Body, Voice, & Imagination December 16th: Student Choice | This class belongs to YOU. Let's spend today's class choosing our favorite theatre games and exercises from the Drama Menu! BREAK NO CLASSES DECEMBER 20th-JANUARY 23rd January 24th: Character Movement January 31st: Reader's Theatre February 7th: Creative Dramatics | Body, Voice, & Imagination BREAK NO CLASS FEBRUARY 14th-17th February 21st: Voice Acting | Acting for Animation! I'm Mrs. Anderson, and I teach Theatre for Young Performers, Singing in Virtual Voice Class and Private Voice Lessons! I am a certified Theatre Educator with a BFA in Musical Theatre, and hold 14+ years of experience in the classroom with kids of all ages. I would love to help you meet your goals! My mission is to use what I do best (Teaching, directing, and performing), to do what I love most (Musical Theatre and theatre education!). I'm passionate about coaching young artists to accomplish what they didn't think possible, and leading kids to find their voice, their hidden talents, and self confidence! Let's get nerdy about our favorite movies and musicals, and have fun exploring together on my virtual stage.
