Welcome to Virtual Performing Arts Academy. This performance class for kids is perfect for your budding artist. In this six-week class, students will learn the fundamentals of acting while working on a short performance. This is a fun and active class. Each student will have a role in the production, and have fun bringing their character to life. Virtual Performing Arts Academy prides itself in being a fun, supportive teaching studio where every child is a star. Students do not need any prior experience to join this class and students with prior experience will learn, grow, and be challenged as well! During the course students will learn: Memorization Techniques Blocking Characterization Movement Skills Improvisation Technical Theatre Vocabulary: Costumes, Set Design, and more! The class is structured as follows: Drama Warm-up Drama Game/Improvisation Technique Day Focus Rehearsal Recap and Goodbyes Day 1: Getting to know you/Reading the Script/Auditioning Day 2: Character Exploration Day 3: Movement Exploration Day 4: Having fun with the character/Improv Exploration/Memorization Day 5: Dress Rehearsal Day 6: Dress Rehearsal #2 and Final Performance
