In this course, we will take a look at some inspiring leaders throughout history and into modern day. We will discuss tools to overcome adversity (because we all face it) and finding our way to leadership.

Class experience

Students will learn tools to overcome various obstacles and adversity that they may encounter throughout their leadership journey.
I will present a PowerPoint format that outlines who each person is, what they have achieved, the struggles that they overcame, and how they overcame those struggles. Material presented within the PowerPoint presentation will be summarized from the below sources:

- Helen Keller: Helen became deaf, blind, and mute as a toddler and through the discipline of her teacher she was able to learn how to communicate and live a full life.
- Stephen Hawking: Extremely accomplished theoretical physicist and cosmologist despite battling motor neuron disease from his early 20s until his death in 2018.
