US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Hi, I am Teacher Meg! Welcome to Hello Friends! I am so happy you're here. In this ongoing course, we will cover Pre-K andn Kindergarten curriculum. You can choose to drop in one week at a time or attend ongoing. Topics Covered/Taught: -Weather (identifying types of weather) -Day of the Week (current day, yesterday, tomorrow) -Month/Date (current date) -Letter of the Day **note- as we progress we will focus more on phonics, word families, sight words** (practice identifying, writing, and saying letter sound) -Colors -Shapes -Math Skills (patterns, counting to 20, adding and subtracting, greater than, less than) -Reading Skills (sight words, simple sentences) -Show and Tell (speaking skills) Class Structure: This class will be structured like a Kindergarten or Preschool Circle Time Experience. I will call on each student individually to answer questions. We will also sing and repeat whole sentences as a group. I will make sure everyone has a chance to participate. I use Google Slides and video clips to engage students with visuals and songs. ** I like to post materials for class to make the experience more like a brick and mortar classroom. It is helpful to be able to print but it is not required. Examples of materials used: pencil, crayons, sticky notes, etc.. I always post materials the weekend before the upcoming week of class so you can be prepared for the week**
