Every child can thrive with a strong foundation built through personalized 1:1 learning. In the early years, connections with family lay the groundwork for future interactions with teachers and classmates. In this engaging class designed for children ages 4-9, I focus on early intervention strategies that provide tailored behavioral support for ADHD, autistic, and neurodiverse learners. Through interactive, verbal communication, visual cues, and play-based activities, I aim to enhance key skills such as communication, emotional regulation, and social interactions. Each session is customized to meet your child’s unique needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and supported as they grow and flourish. 🌱 ✅ Communication Skills – Enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication through engaging activities. ✅ Emotional Regulation – Identifying emotions and practicing self-calming strategies. ✅ Social Skills – Learning turn-taking, sharing, and initiating interactions with teacher. ✅ Behavioral Strategies – Developing self-regulation techniques, using positive reinforcement, and learning flexible thinking. Weekly Topics Covered ⭐ Week 1: Introduction, Comfort Building & Foundational Skills Establish rapport, introduce visual schedules, and assess both executive functioning skills and baseline academic strengths. Activities: Greeting routines, simple visual cues, and introductory literacy/numeracy games. ⭐ Week 2: Communication & Early Literacy Focus on labeling objects and feelings using flash cards while introducing phonics, letter recognition, and simple word reading. Activities: Role-playing scenarios, structured sequencing exercises, and using visual supports to organize thoughts. ⭐ Week 5: Transitioning, Flexibility & Cognitive Skills Learn to handle changes in routine and build cognitive flexibility while strengthening number sense and problem-solving abilities. Activities: Surprise transitions, pattern recognition, and solving real-life scenario activities. ⭐ Week 6: Positive Reinforcement & Time Management Encourage positive behaviors while teaching time management and self reflection on task completion strategies. Activities: Sticker charts, time-based tasks, and task sequencing. ⭐ Week 7: Life Skills: Problem-Solving & Decision-Making Strengthen problem-solving and decision-making skills while encouraging independent thinking. Activities: Scenario-based decision-making, role-playing problem-solving, and practicing self-reflection. ⭐ Week 8: Ongoing Learning, Celebration & Progress Check Reinforce learned skills, celebrate achievements, and encourage continued growth and exploration.
