Students will learn to define, recognize, and correct dangling and misplaced modifiers in order to write error-free clear sentences. My 19 years of teaching have taught me that the people DOING are the people learning, so this session will be interactive. Students will have opportunities to correct sentences, to discuss examples, and to write and share their own sentences that contain modifiers used correctly. I will provide immediate feedback to help students correct mistakes and to encourage continued practice. My goal it to make this a positive experience for students who are able to write clear accurate sentences that contain rich description.
