Beginner - Intermediate Level
Let's celebrate Halloween using English to read, play, and do art projects. Learners will build their vocabulary and practice conversation skills while solving puzzles, playing games, and telling stories related to Halloween. The class is structured as a fun interactive party. Learners will interact with one another and me while making Halloween goodie bags and papercraft decorations. Students will talk while playing Halloween Kahoot and a Halloween memory game. Finally, they will practice listening skills and comprehension during a fun Spooky Story Time. This class is a party that includes English language learning. The primary goal is to experience the holiday and have fun with other language learners.
Learning Goals
Students will learn vocabulary related to fall and Halloween: witch, ghost, pumpkin, jack-o-lantern, trick or treat, mask, costume, hero, spooky, scary and the vocabulary needed to do an paper art project: fold, crease, edge, corner, half, vertical, horizontal, diagonal, glue, paste, attach, glitter, cut, outline
