In this ongoing course, students will practice grammar concepts. The grammar concepts will not build on each other. Learners are welcome to join at any time. During each class, learners will learn a grammar concept, practice the concept, and do an activity with the grammar concept. Below is a breakdown of each class: ***** Minilesson ***** I will introduce the grammar concept that students will be practicing. I will show an anchor chart explaining the grammar concept and teach any important information about the grammar concept. ***** Practice Activity ***** As a group, we will practice the grammar concept together. Students will do a grammar activity to practice the lesson's grammar concept. The grammar activity will vary depending on the grammar concept that is being practiced. ***** Application ***** Students will apply the grammar concept to examples or sentences. Students will also do shared writing to practice applying the grammar concept. ***** Game ***** The learners will play a game using the grammar concept. Some of the games will include: Tic-Tac-Toe, BINGO, or a board game. The game will vary each class depending on the grammar concept that we are working on. ********************************************************************************************* This class is an ongoing class. Montana Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Montana State University - Northern
Hello! My name is Teacher Julie. I teach grammar, math, reading, writing, social studies, life skill, and craft classes. I received my BA in Elementary Education from Montana State University - Northern in 2009. For the past thirteen years, I have been teaching in an elementary school. I love teaching, and I love learning. I think every child deserves the best education. It is my goal to provide classes that will help your child be successful in their learning journey. My expertise includes movement, games, and fun as I teach specific content. Students learn best when they are directly involved in the learning. In my classes, your child will be learning content through hands-on activities. Teaching is one of my favorite things to do. Outside of teaching, I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking, and home decorating. I am looking forward to teaching your child.
