Class Experience

Why do some places have clean water while others don’t? How do doctors and scientists stop diseases from spreading? What makes one country healthier than another?

In Global Health Explorers, you’ll become a public health investigator, solving real-world health mysteries from around the globe! Each week, you’ll uncover fascinating topics like disease prevention, nutrition, pollution, and access to healthcare—learning how communities worldwide tackle major health challenges.

This highly interactive class blends storytelling, problem-solving, and hands-on activities to bring public health to life! We’ll kick off each session with an exciting health mystery or real-world case study, then dive into engaging discussions, group challenges, and fun games. You’ll analyze real data, watch short video clips, and brainstorm solutions just like a global health expert.

With nearly 20 years of experience working in diverse international settings, I’ll guide you through the exciting world of public health, making sure every session is packed with energy, discovery, and critical thinking. Get ready to explore, question, and solve big health challenges—because the world needs more young problem-solvers like you!

Week of March 6th: The Case of the Missing Clean Water – Investigate why some communities struggle with safe drinking water and brainstorm solutions to bring clean water to everyone.
