Through real stories, interactive discussions, and engaging activities, this class brings the Amazon to life—perfect for curious kids who love nature, adventure, and hands-on learning!

Week 1: Life on the Water – Explore how Amazonian communities build floating homes, travel by canoe, and adapt to the constantly shifting river landscape.

I lived in the Peruvian Amazon for six years, immersing myself in its rivers, communities, and traditions while studying its art, culture, and language. With a master’s degree in public health from Columbia University and years of experience working with diverse learners, I bring both firsthand knowledge and a passion for storytelling. As a multidisciplinary artist and educator, I create engaging, interactive learning experiences that spark curiosity and connection. My goal is to help kids explore new worlds, think critically, and develop a deeper understanding of different cultures.
